Recap is very excited to announce a partnership with leading cryptocurrency exchange Luno, which is part of Digital Currency Group.

Calculating your crypto taxes can be an incredibly tedious task, and with this partnership, it has just become a whole lot easier. Recap is now fully-integrated with Luno, which means the exchange’s users can make a deposit, withdrawal or trade and see each transaction immediately reflected in their Recap account for seamless and automated tax accounting.

What makes this partnership truly exciting is that with Luno's BTC savings wallet feature, investors can earn a targeted 4% interest rate on Bitcoin (risks associated). This effectively means Bitcoin can be earned as a passive income while you sleep. Our partnership with Luno means users of its services earning in this way can now combine this with the benefits of Recap, putting their tax accounting into autopilot.

Recap’s automated account tracking, combined with its tax calculation capabilities and a user-controlled encryption feature mean Luno customers will have even more reason to feel at ease. With a market as fast moving as cryptocurrency, it pays to have confidence in those providing a complementary service. This partnership signals the clear choice to make when you want Bitcoin to work for you.

We’re especially pleased to be working with Luno due to their responsible approach to customer service and ease of use. With easy integration and a painless off-ramp if users move on, they compare incredibly well in an industry stacked with so much choice.

Luno’s Country Manager for the UK, Sam Kopelman adds:

Luno is very excited to be working with Recap.io, giving millions of customers a seamless experience for tax compliance. We love the product which Recap has already built and are looking forward to deeper integration, removing all the headache and ambiguity associated with crypto tax compliance.

Does SwissBorg report to HMRC? (2025/26 UK guide)

Indirectly, yes. SwissBorg is a Swiss-founded wealth app whose European arm is now authorised as a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under MiCA, so it is not an offshore venue, and from 2026 the kind of provider it operates may fall within the Cryptoasset Reporting Framework that feeds customer data to HMRC. SwissBorg is also different from the exchanges people usually ask about: it is built around yield. The payouts from SwissBorg Earn are generally income, taxed when you receive them, and every in-app swap is a disposal for capital gains tax, even though the app feels like a savings account. Here is what HMRC can see, where SwissBorg sits with regulators, why its yield features are so easy to misreport, and what to do if you are behind.

Does Revolut report to HMRC? (2025/26 UK guide)

Revolut's UK crypto services are provided by Revolut Ltd, a UK-incorporated firm on the FCA's cryptoasset register. Under the UK's Cryptoasset Reporting Framework, that makes it a UK reporting cryptoasset service provider: it must collect customer and transaction data and report it to HMRC annually. This guide explains what is reported, when HMRC receives it, and what to do if you have gains or income you have not declared.

Does Poloniex report to HMRC? (2025/26 UK guide)

There is no public evidence that Poloniex currently sends HMRC a routine direct feed. However, it is not beyond HMRC's reach: activity may be visible through UK banks and other exchanges, existing information-exchange channels and, where the relevant provider is in scope, the Cryptoasset Reporting Framework. Poloniex is also on the FCA warning list, and older accounts can contain spot trades, historic lending returns, staking rewards and margin activity that are easy to misreport. Here is what HMRC can realistically see, how those transactions may be taxed and what to do if you are behind.
