Recap were thrilled to attend and sponsor Tolley's Taxation Awards 2023, where our crypto tax calculator was shortlisted in the highly competitive category of Best Digital Innovation for The Recap Accountant Portal. The event, hosted by hilarious comedian Miles Jupp, was a night of laughter, connections, and celebration of the industry's accomplishments.

A Night of Laughter and Celebration

Miles Jupp, known for his comedic talents, brought a fun and entertaining atmosphere to the awards ceremony. Despite his admitted lack of knowledge or interest in taxation (who can blame him?), he kept the crowd thoroughly amused throughout the evening.

Networking Opportunities

Tolley's Taxation Awards provided an excellent platform for us to connect with our connections and partners in the accounting industry. We're proud to be part of a community that consistently pushes the boundaries of innovation.

An Honorable Mention for Recap

Comedian Miles Jupp stood on stage talking with a list of the nominees for Best Digital Innovation overlaid.

Although we didn't bring home the winners' trophy this time, we are incredibly proud of our nomination and the recognition it represents. Being acknowledged by Tolley as one of the best digital innovation companies in the taxation industry is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and creativity of our entire team.

Congratulations to the Winners

We extend our warmest congratulations to Deloitte’s Remote Work assessment (RWA), the winner of the Best Digital Innovation category and all other award winners. Each recipient has undoubtedly made significant contributions to the advancement and excellence of the industry.

Conclusion

Attending Tolley's Taxation Awards 2023 was a great experience for Recap. While we didn't win the Best Digital Innovation award, we were grateful for the opportunity to be part of such a prestigious event. We remain committed to pushing the boundaries of digital innovation in taxation for crypto and eagerly look forward to future opportunities for recognition and growth.

Does Luno report to HMRC? (2025/26 UK guide)

There is no public confirmation that Luno routinely reports UK customer data to HMRC, but that is not the whole story. HMRC can request exchange data under its statutory powers, and from 1 January 2026 the UK's Cryptoasset Reporting Framework requires in-scope providers to report customer data annually, with the first reports due by 31 May 2027. Whether and where Luno reports has not been publicly confirmed. Meanwhile, Luno has wound down service for customers in regions it no longer serves: its notice says affected accounts closed on 31 August 2026, with service unavailable from 1 September; the public guidance does not name the affected regions, so check the notice Luno sent you. Here is what HMRC can see, where Luno stands with UK regulators, what the closure means for your tax, and how to get your records now.

Does Bitpanda Pro report to HMRC? (2025/26 UK guide)

Bitpanda Pro no longer exists under that name: it became One Trading, a separate Dutch exchange, in 2023, while Bitpanda serves UK customers through its own UK-incorporated firm. Who reports your data to HMRC depends on which company you actually used and when. Pre-2026 Bitpanda Pro trades are not swept into the new reporting framework, but any gains or income from them still had to be declared. This guide explains the entity split, where your records live, and how each company's reporting reaches HMRC from 2026.
