These terms govern participation in Recap's affiliate programme (the Programme) run by Recap Technologies Limited, company number 11218777, registered at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, England, WC2H 9JQ. They apply alongside our Terms of Service. By joining the Programme you accept these terms. Our affiliate platform, Tolt, has its own terms for your affiliate account and payouts, which also apply.

We approve affiliates individually and may decline or remove an affiliate at our discretion. On approval you receive a unique referral link and, on request, a promo code.
Referral link. Your link carries a ?ref= code. When someone visits recap.io through it, we store a first-party cookie on their device for 60 days to apply their referral discount and attribute the visit to you. We tell the visitor that this cookie has been set. If they create an account within those 60 days, we store your referral against that account. A later paid subscription on that account is then attributed to you even if the cookie has expired.
Promo code. A visitor can instead apply your promo code at checkout. A code discounts the first paid invoice unless we say otherwise when we issue it; renewals are charged at the then-current price for the plan.
We do not track visitors for you beyond this attribution. Our Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy describe what visitors are told.
A referral is valid when a new customer who had no earlier Recap account or purchase either creates an account after following your link within the 60-day cookie period and later subscribes, or applies your promo code to a first paid invoice. Self-referrals are not permitted. There is no further time limit on when that account subscribes.
Commission is 20% of each qualifying subscription payment by that customer, including renewals, for as long as the customer remains subscribed, the Programme continues and your participation has not ended under section 7. If a payment is refunded or a subscription is cancelled under our refund terms, we reverse or reclaim the related commission.
We pay commission monthly, once your balance reaches £300, by PayPal or bank transfer through the affiliate platform. The threshold does not apply to the final payment under section 7. You are responsible for any tax on commission you receive.
You must comply with applicable advertising, consumer-protection, data protection and electronic-marketing law, and the CAP Code where it applies. Make every promotion clearly identifiable as advertising before someone engages with it, using a prominent label such as Ad, and explain that you receive commission from Recap. A disclosure hidden in a profile, after a link or among hashtags is not sufficient. Claims about Recap must be accurate and supported by evidence. Do not present Recap as providing tax, legal or investment advice, as FCA-, ICAEW- or CIOT-authorised, or as filing with HMRC, and do not promise particular tax outcomes.
Do not send unsolicited emails, texts or direct messages promoting Recap. Where someone has specifically requested or consented to such messages, keep evidence, identify yourself and Recap, and give a simple way to stop further messages. Do not use bought-in contact lists or ask others to send messages that you could not lawfully send yourself. Supply evidence of compliance on reasonable request and promptly correct or remove a promotion we reasonably identify as non-compliant.
You must not:
If we reasonably suspect a breach, we may suspend the affected promotions and withhold the commission connected with that suspected breach while we investigate promptly. We will explain the reason and give you a reasonable opportunity to respond. We may cancel commission attributable to a proven breach and remove you from the Programme. Unrelated, valid commission remains payable.
If you participate in the course of business, you indemnify us for reasonable losses and legal costs arising from third-party claims to the extent caused by your breach of this section. This excludes losses caused by our own breach, negligence or instructions, and fines or penalties that the law does not allow us to recover. We must notify you promptly, take reasonable steps to limit loss, let you participate in the defence, and obtain your consent before agreeing a settlement for which you would pay; you must not unreasonably withhold or delay that consent. This indemnity does not apply if you participate as a consumer.
Attribution of a later subscription depends on us having stored the referral against the account at signup, or on the visitor applying your promo code. We do not guarantee that every referral is tracked. Tell us promptly about a suspected tracking problem and we will investigate in good faith, but our records are final.
We may change these terms or the commission rate on at least 30 days' notice by email; changes do not reduce commission already earned. Either party may end participation at any time by written notice. Commission accrues only on qualifying subscription payments received before participation ends; payments received afterwards do not earn further commission.
We will pay all valid commission earned before the end date within 60 days of that date, even if the balance is below £300. We may adjust it for refunds under section 4 and withhold a disputed amount only under section 5; any balance then found payable is due within 30 days of resolution. You must provide valid payment details. If they are missing, we will request them and pay within 30 days of receiving them. A missing payment instruction or a balance below £300 does not forfeit earned commission.
Contact affiliates@recap.io. English law governs these terms and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction for business participants. If you participate as a consumer, you retain any mandatory protections of the law where you live and may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under that law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
