# A Day at the Digital Accountancy Show – embracing the future of crypto

There was a great vibe at DAS 23 and it was really refreshing to chat to so many accountants about digital assets and navigating crypto to help clients with crypto taxes. 

Last week our team attended the highly anticipated [Digital Accountancy Show](https://digitalaccountancy.com/). The event brings together industry leaders and innovators, and we were really proud to join [Wealth99](https://www.wealth99.com/), [Myna](https://www.mynaaccountants.co/) and [Cryptio](https://cryptio.co/) hosting the Crypto Lounge.

It was great to chat to so many accountants and professionals, delving into insightful discussions about digital assets and the necessary preparations required to help investors with their crypto taxes. It was a breath of fresh air to meet so many open-minded individuals who share our excitement about the potential of the crypto and tech industries and who are wanting to learn more.

The fireside chat we participated in, titled ""Dispelling the myths of crypto for accountants" proved to be a major hit, drawing a packed audience. Led by Joe David of [Myna](https://www.mynaaccountants.co/), our panel, consisting of our CEO Dan Howitt, Antoine Scalia from [Cryptio](https://cryptio.co/), and Gareth Cleverly from \[[Wealth99](https://www.wealth99.com/)\], underscored the importance of recognising that crypto is here to stay. We emphasised that accountants must equip themselves with the knowledge and understanding necessary to navigate this evolving landscape successfully.

As we wrapped up the event, we couldn't help but feel a sense of fulfilment and anticipation for what lies ahead. The day was simply incredible, it was great to be surrounded by so many forward-thinking accounting industry movers and shakers. We're fully committed to supporting the growth of the crypto industry and helping accountants support their clients and we can't wait to attend more events like this that foster innovation and collaboration. We're genuinely optimistic about the UK's ambition to become a leading crypto hub and all in on embracing the crypto revolution and pushing for its integration within the accounting profession.
